A funeral was held Saturday morning at the Ceres Chapel of Franklin & Downs for Helen L. Jefferson Malone, 91, of Modesto. She died Sunday, Sept. 5, 2004 at Turlock Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Burial was at Ceres Memorial Park.
Born March 11, 1913, Mrs. Malone was a native of Hercules, Mo., and lived in Modesto for two years, Turlock from 1990 to 2002 and Ceres from 1947 to 1990. She was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, quilting quilts and sewing.
She leaves behind three children, Frank Malone Jr. of Ceres, Maxine Wente of Turlock and Darlene Hardy of Modesto; her brother, Kelley Eugene Jefferson of Texas; and seven grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
