A memorial service was held Thursday afternoon at the Ceres Chapel of Franklin & Downs for James Irvin Baskin, 60, of Ceres. He died Sunday, May 8, 2005 at Doctors Medical Center in Modesto.
Born Dec. 21, 1944, Mr. Baskin was a native of Turlock and a lifelong resident of Ceres. He worked at Foster Farms for 35 years as a ranch manager, recently at Delhi Feed Mill of Foster Farms. Mr. Baskin was a member of Church of Christ and the Teamsters union.
He leaves behind his wife, Pat Baskin of Ceres; two children, Chris Cox of Hughson and Kevin Baskin of Hilmar; his mother, Mary Baskin of Arizona; two sisters, Mary E. Baskin of Nevada and Linda Peters of Arizona; and four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
