A Mass will be at 10 a.m. today (Wednesday) at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Turlock, for Julian Garcia, 46, of Modesto. He died Thursday, Oct. 21, 2004 at Doctors Medical Center.
Burial will be at Patterson District Cemetery under the direction of Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Chapel.
Born March 2, 1958, Mr. Garcia was a native of Paducah, Texas, and lived in Modesto for 32 years. He was a cement finisher for 30 years. Mr. Garcia was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. He enjoyed fishing, music, bike riding, travel and playing horseshoes.
Mr. Garcia leaves behind his wife, Juanita "Janie" B. Garcia of Modesto; four children, Julian Garcia Jr., Felipe Garcia, Crystal Garcia and Jessica Garcia, all of Modesto; his father, Willie Garcia of Edinburg, Texas; three brothers, Willie Garcia Jr. of Ceres, Tony Garcia of Modesto and Lupe Garcia of Turlock; and three sisters, Mary Rodriguez of Edinburg, Texas, Rosie Guardado of Ceres and Delia Moreno of Empire. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rafaela Garcia.
