A graveside service was held March 8 at the Whitesboro Cemetery near Wister, Okla., for Lola "Toad" Edwards Walker, 97, of Oklahoma. The former Keyes resident died March 2, 2012.

Interment was under the direction of the Talihina Funeral Home in Talihina, Okla.

Born Aug. 26, 1914 in Plainview, Ark., Lola married Charley Ray Walker in Talihina on Nov. 5, 1929. She moved to California in the 1950s and raised her children in Keyes. She moved back to Oklahoma about three years ago.

She leaves behind her children, Ina Mell Zettler of Wisconsin, Lloyd Walker of Missouri, Ray Walker of California and Linda Kay Poulson of Kansas; her brother, Leatus Edwards of Albion, Okla.; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-grear-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband Charley, parents Liga Leatus and Ola Roberts Edwards and children Wanda Lee Yandell, Allie Mae Wilson and Floyd Walker.
