Arrangements were held for Nina Ruth Horton Jackson, 75, of Ceres. She died Dec. 5, 2009.
Born Dec. 6, 1933, Nina was a native of Leedey, Okla., and lived in the Ceres-Modesto area since the 1940s. She was a homemaker who committed her life to Jesus Christ when she was a girl.
She leaves behind her children, Calvin Horton of Arkansas and Cathy Horton Lowery of Modesto; her brother, Bob Dowling of Arkansas; her sister, Lola Nate of Modesto; her grandchildren, Wayne Horton and Marie Horton, both of Arkansas. She was preceded in death by husband A.C. Horton, parents Sile Dowling and Grace Thomas and brother John L. Dowling.
