Riley L. Barnhart

A graveside service was held Friday at Lakewood Memorial Park for Riley Leon Barnhart, 79, of Modesto. He died of natural causes on Tuesday, May 18, 2004 at his home.

Lakewood Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Born Jan. 7, 1925, Mr. Barnhart was a native of Seminole County, Okla., and lived in the Ceres-Modesto area for 42 years. He was a salesman with various companies for 50 years. Mr. Barnhart enjoyed geneology, fishing and spending time with family. He belonged to the Young at Heart exercise group which meets at the Davis Park Church of Christ, the Mendell-Oildale lodge of the Free and Accepted Masons in Bakersfield. Mr. Barnhart was a World War II veteran.

He leaves behind his wife, Leona Clendening Barnhart of Modesto; two sons, Riley Duane Barnhart and Craig Leon Barnhart, both of Modesto; and two granddaughters.
