A Mass was held Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church for Rogelio Murillo "Roger" Torres, 63, of Keyes. He died Monday, Sept. 13, 2004 at his home.

Burial was at Turlock Memorial Park under the direction of Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Chapel.

Born Jan. 9, 1941, Mr. Torres was a native of Mexicali, Mexico, and lived in Keyes and Stanislaus County for 48 years. He had been employed by Tri Valley Growers of Modesto. Mr. Torres was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Turlock, and enjoyed fishing.

He leaves behind his wife, Emma Elvira Torres of Keyes; his four children, Erik R. Torres, Roger Torres Jr., Esteban "Steve" Torres and Maria Elena Torres, all of Keyes; three brothers, Sirilio Torres Jr. and Polo Torres, both of Mexicali, and Andres L. Torres of Modesto; five sisters, Olivia Torres, Alicia Torres and Inez Torres, all of Mexicali, Natalia G. Torres of Modesto and Beatriz Z. Torres of Turlock; his stepmother, Baudelia L. Torres of Mexicali; and one granddaughter.
