A private funeral service was held Tuesday for Sally Jo Schmidt, 58, of Ceres. She died Aug. 8, 2010 at her home after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Eaton Funeral Home was in charge of cremation at Ceres Memorial Park.
Sally was born Aug. 24, 1952 to Lawrence "Nit" and Josephine Schmidt. Sally spent her entire life in Ceres, living in a home built by her father, Nit Schmidt, approximately 70 years ago. She will be remembered for her loving spirit to help others, her courage and her devotion to Jesus Christ.
She leaves behind her brother, Steven L. Schmidt of Represa. She was preceded in death by her parents.
