A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Geneva Presbyterian Church,1229 E. Fairmont Ave., Modesto, for Sherrie Renee French, 56, of Modesto. She died July 21, 2011.
A private graveside service will be held at Lakewood Memorial Park at 10 a.m. on Friday.
Born Jan. 5, 1955 in San Jose, Sherrie lived in Fresno from January 1955 to June 1956, then moved to Modesto. She attended kindergarten at John Muir Elementary School for two years then Kerr Avenue School and then John F. Kennedy School in Ceres. She graduated in 1977, worked at Howard Training Center in Ceres until 1990 and then Production Unlimited in Ceres. Mrs. French was active at Geneva Presbyterian Church and enjoyed handing out New Testaments to friends through Gideon Ministry. Very active in Christian Berets - attends their camping program in the summer and sings in their choir. Sherrie loves and appreciates her family and friends.
