A Sikh funeral was held held Sunday at Allen Mortuary in Turlock for Surjit Kaur, 77, of Ceres. She died peacefully on July 27, 2008 at Doctors Medical Center in Modesto, surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Kaur was born in June 10, 1931 in India, born to the late Channan Singh and Besant Kaur. In 2003 she lived in England before settling in Livingston five years ago. She belonged to the Livingston Sikh Temple.
She leaves behind her two daughters, Rashpal Kaur of England and Baljit Kaur of Ceres; and four sisters, three brothers, five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
