Walden Alldrin

A funeral was held Saturday at the First Congregational Church for Walden "Wally" Alldrin, 84, of Ripon. He died Saturday, Sept. 25, 2004 at Vintage Faire Nursing Home in Modesto.

Burial was private and handled by Deegan Ripon Memorial Chapel.

Born Feb. 11, 1920, Mr. Alldrin was a native of Turlock and lived in Ripon for 57 years. He was a farmer who enjoyed gardening and fishing. Mr. Alldrin was an Army veteran of World War II as a surgical technician, serving from 1943-46.

He leaves behind his wife, Lois Alldrin of Ripon; two children, Linda Weststeyn of Ceres and Glen Alldrin of Ballico; his brother, Merle Alldrin of Ceres; four sisters, Valerie Cree and Carmen Wolf, both of Modesto, Winnifred Fields of Ripon and Evangeline Presnell of Castro Valley; and two grandchildren.
