A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 1, at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery for William David Robbins, 77, of Ceres. He died January at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto.

Allen Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Robbins was born in July, 1930 and raised in Great Falls, S.C. At the age of 17, he joined the Marines and then retired from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years, as a flight deck fireman. He had settled in Ceres in 1967. Mr. Robbins worked for Gallo Winery as a clamp lift driver for 22 years. He enjoyed NASCAR.

He leaves behind his wife, Udetta Robbins of Ceres; two children, Charlene Robbins of Turlock, and David Robbins, Jr. of Tennessee; four grandchildren, Matthew Blevins, Ashley Blevins and Andrew Blevins, and Waylon Robbins; and two great-grandchildren, Abby and Neveah. He was preceded in death by son Gregory A. Robbins.
