Dolphins take seventh at Meet of Champions
Ceres swimming club competes at 14th annual Woodland event

The Ceres Dolphins recreational swim club racked up 6211/2 points en route to a seventh-place finish at the 14th Annual Sacramento Valley Meet of Champions, Aug. 2-3, in Woodland.

The Elk Grove Piranhas (2,0221/2), Johnson Ranch Barracudas (1,857) and Gold River Stingrays (1,181) took first, second and third, respectively.

15-18 boys
Colin Ramos placed 31st in the 100 IM, 34th in the 50 fly, 36th in the 50 free and 38th in the 100 free.
Ramos set personal records in all four of his events.

Reuven Denton placed 26th in the 50 back, 27th in the 50 fly, 29th in the 50 free and 100 IM, and 34th in the 100 free.

Logan Kier placed 31st in the 100 free, 37th in the 100 IM, 40th in the 50 free and 44th in the 100 free.

13-14 boys
Agustin Leyva placed 35th in the 100 free, 39th in the 50 breast and 43rd in the 50 free.

Angelo Najera placed 37th in the 50 breast, 41st in the 100 IM, 50th in the 50 back and 54th in the 50 free.

Daniel Hagens placed 44th in the 50 breast, 48th in the 50 free and 51st in the 100 free.

Tristan Freitas-Scott placed 53rd in the 100 free and 60th in the 50 free.

Najera and Hagens set four and two personal records, respectively.

13-14 girls
Hannah Denton placed 24th in the 50 free and 27th in the 50 breast and 100 free, and 37th in the 50 fly.

Katrina Guevara placed 36th in the 50 free, 41st in the 100 IM, 43rd in the 100 free and 47th in the 50 fly.

Gurpreet Singh placed 38th in the 50 back and 48th in the 50 free.

Alexa Marquez placed 44th in the 50 fly, 52nd in the 100 free and 53rd in the 50 free.

11-12 boys
Gary Dodd placed 30th in the 50 free, and 31st in the 50 back and 100 free.

He set personal records in all three events.

Donald Cook III placed 33rd in the 50 breast, 36th in the 50 free and 42nd in the 100 free.

Elliot Lewis placed 31st in the 50 back, 33rd in the 50 free, 35th in the 50 breast and 36th in the 100 free. He set three personal records.

Jacob Pfanenstiel placed 42nd in the 50 back and 50 breast, and 46th in the 50 free and 100 free.

11-12 girls
Aryanna Jimenez placed 20th in the 50 fly, 30th in the 100 free, and 39th in the 100 IM and 50 free.

She set three personal records.

Jimenez also broke the 30-second mark in the 50 free for the first time.

Mikiela Jackson placed 46th in the 100 free and 59th in the 50 breast.

Alyvea Olanolan placed 21st in the 50 free and 100 free, 28th in the 100 IM, 29th in the 50 fly and 41st in the 50 breast.

Camille Hartley placed 31st in the 50 breast, 44th in the 100 free, 46th in the 100 IM and 51st in the 50 free.

9-10 boys
Jeremy Kier placed 41st in the 100 IM, 45th in the 25 breast and 48th in the 50 free.

Cameron Staley placed 44th in the 50 free and 46th in the 25 breast.

Ally Feld placed 27th in the 25 breast and 53rd in the 50 free.

Sofia Amaral placed 49th in the 25 breast, 67th in the 50 free and 68th in the 25 free.
