Ceres High's varsity girls swim program more than tripled Central Valley's point total during their Western Athletic Conference dual-meet showdown.

The host Bulldogs bested the Hawks 129-30 on March 24.

"We have a lot of numbers and depth," Bulldogs head coach Sue Garcia said. "That helps us earn maximum points."

Bulldog standout Julia Pata took first in the 100 free and 100 breast against the crosstown-rival Hawks.

Pata posted a Sac-Joaquin Section meet qualifying time in the 100 breast.

She qualified in both the 200 free and 100 free earlier this season.

"Julia works hard and has the will to win," Garcia said.

Ciana Sather, Kiera Brownlee, Kassandra Armas, Lindsey Reedy, Taylore Bentley, Monae Decamera, Paige Connolly, Savannah Zielke, Camryn Silva, Annie Connors, Jade Dominguez, Jullissa Arreola, Gurpinder Bahia and Taleyna Sengsoury contributed to Ceres High's point total as well.

Sather took first in the 100 fly and 100 back.

Brownlee took first in the 200 IM and second in the 100 breast.

Armas took first in the 200 free and third in the 100 fly.

Reedy took first in the 500 free and fourth in the 50 free.

Bentley took second in the 50 free and 100 free.

Decamera took second in the 200 free.

Connolly took second in the 500 free.

Zielke took second in the 100 fly.

Silva took second in the 200 IM.

Connors took second in the 100 back and third in the 50 free.

Dominguez took third in the 200 free.

Arreola took third in the 100 back.

Bahia took third in the 100 free.

Sengsoury took fourth in the 100 breast.

Brianna Garcia took fourth in the 100 free and sixth in the 50 free.
