Central Valley’s varsity girls golf team capped off the Central California Conference dual season with a 233-241 win over visiting Patterson on Monday at St. Stanislaus.

“It was close,” head coach Kelly Wheelock said. “We won by just eight strokes.”

Central Valley (5-7) tied for fourth place in the CCC standings with Atwater.

Merced, El Capitan and Golden Valley took first, second and third, respectively.

“We’ve been competitive most of the season. All of the girls have been improving every match. That’s the best thing I’ve enjoyed seeing.”
