Respectable showing for Ceres Dolphins

The Ceres Dolphins recreational swim team placed fourth in a field of seven while competing at the SeaDogs Invitational on June 22 at Pitman High School.
Ceres racked up 600 points en route to finishing ahead of the Tracy Tritons (549.50), Blue Tide Aquatics-Summer Tide (108) and Oakdale Swim Team (96).
The Turlock SeaDogs (1,332.50) won the team title.
The Ripon Sea Lions (927) and Manteca Dolphins (786) finished second and third, respectively.
"I'm really jazzed," head coach Tracy Bulll said. "We swam some really fast times."
Zachary Jones (17-18 boys), Haley Fisicaro (17-18 girls), Julia Pata (13-14 girls), Alyvea Olanolan (9-10 girls) and Diego Armas (7-8 boys) were awarded High-Point trophies for taking first in their respective age groups.
Fisicaro set meet records in both the 50 fly and 100 free.
"She just missed the 50-free record," Bull said.
Jones shattered a meet record in the 100 IM.
Ceres' 200 medley relay team of Olanolan, Victoria Silveria, Aryanna Jimenez and Emma Silveria broke a 20-plus-year meet record.
"Pretty amazing," Bull said. "That's the most talented 9-10 girls quartet I've ever had."
Individual

Zachary Jones placed first in the 100 IM, 100 free and 50 free.
Manny Hernandez placed second in the 50 free and 100 breast, and third in the 100 free.
17-18 girls
Haley Fisicaro placed first in the 100 free, 50 free and 50 fly.
Megan Braverman placed fifth in the 100 free, sixth in the 50 free and seventh in the 50 fly.
15-16 boys
Sean Carr placed fifth in the 100 back, 16th in the 50 free and 17th in the 100 free.
Austin Roberts placed sixth in the 100 back, 16th in the 100 free and 18th in the 50 free.
15-16 girls
Keana Miller placed fifth in the 50 breast, eighth in the 100 IM and 12th in the 50 free.
Jordan Pata placed fifth in the 50 back, ninth in the 100 free and 10th in the 50 free.
Ryleigh Honberger placed eighth in the 50 breast, 12th in the 100 free and 19th in the 50 free.

Reuven Denton placed second in the 100 free and 50 free, and third in the 50 fly.
