A 22-year-old Ceres man who passed out drunk behind the wheel of his BMW was arrested for DUI early Friday.

At 1:53 a.m., Officer Matthew Myers was dispatched to the intersection of E. Hatch Road and Richland Avenue for a report of a man asleep at the wheel of a gray BMW stopped in the road. He roused driver Daniel Manzo, 22, of Ceres, who was slumped over the wheel and appeared to be drunk. Officer Myers conducted a DUI investigation in which Manzo was later arrested for DUI. Manzo provided a breath sample that indicated that he was almost double the legal limit.
