TURLOCK WOMAN ARRESTED ON WARRANT
A 40-year-old Turlock woman who appeared to be up to no good was arrested on a warrant as she was loitering behind a closed business complex early Tuesday, June 30.
Ceres Police Officer Eric Souza was patrolling behind the closed businesses in the 3100 block of Service Road at 1:35 a.m., when he saw Jessica Alvares at the rear of one of the closed businesses. Through a records check, the officer determined that Alvares had a felony warrant for her arrest related to a prior drug offense.
Alvares was arrested for the felony warrant and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
DUI SUSPECT ARRESTED
A 33-year-old Turlock man was arrested for DUI Tuesday evening, June 30 after he allegedly was involved in a domestic dispute in the parking lot of In-N-Out on Service road.
At approximately 10:17 p.m., Officer Christian Diaz responded to the restaurant after several callers reported a DUI in the parking lot. They indicated that Anthony Lopez, the man driving a Nissan Rogue, was arguing with occupants of other vehicles and was intoxicated.
Officer Diaz arrived and stopped Lopez as he was leaving on Mitchell Road. Officer Diaz contacted Lopez who appeared drunk. After undergoing field sobriety tests, Lopez was arrested for DUI and provided breath samples over double the legal limit. Lopez was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
Ceres Police handled 19 total DUI arrests during the seven-day period ending Monday.
ARREST MADE ON ASSAULT WARRANT
Miguel Velazquez Rizo, 25, of Modesto was arrested during a Ceres traffic stop on Friday evening for code violations and the officer learned of his arrest warrant.
At 11:51 p.m., Ceres Police Officer Tyler Wilson was patrolling the 1500 block of Moffett Road when he stopped Rizo in a Honda Civic for vehicle code violations. A records check revealed his felony arrest warrant for a prior assault charge.
Officer Wilson placed Rizo under arrest for the warrant and he was booked at the Public Safety Center.
