OCCUPANT IN CAR STOP ARRESTED ON AUTO THEFT WARRANT

A 27-year-old Modesto woman who was riding in a car stopped by Ceres Police ended up being arrested because of a felony arrest warrant for vehicle theft.

Sierrah Samora was in a Chevy Silverado pickup when it was stopped by Ceres Police Officer Greg Houser for vehicle code violations at 8:41 a.m. on Tuesday, June 9. Houser was patrolling the area of Herndon Way and Central Avenue at the time.

Samora was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.

WARRANTS LAND MODESTAN IN JAIL

A 36-year-old Modesto man known to Ceres Police was arrested during Friday and taken to jail on a felony warrant for identity theft and two misdemeanor warrants for narcotics.

At approximately 12:02 a.m., Sergeant Aaron Pinon was patrolling the 2900 block of Whitmore Avenue when he spotted Tyler Johnson and knew about his warrants.

Johnson was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.

DUI ARREST MADE ON CERES MAN WITH HISTORY

A 32-year-old Ceres man was arrested last week again for driving under the influence.

On Friday, at 11:16 p.m., Ceres Police Sergeant Matthew Vierra was patrolling the area of Whitmore Avenue near Morgan Road when he stopped Emeterio Martinez driving a Chevrolet Malibu for vehicle code violations. While speaking with Martinez the sergeant detected the objective signs and symptoms of someone under the influence of alcohol, prompting a DUI investigation. After a series of field sobriety tests Martinez was arrested for DUI.

Martinez was on probation for DUI and had a license suspended for DUI. Martinez was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
