DRUG CHARGES STEM FROM CAR STOP

A Wednesday, June 24 traffic stop resulted in the arrest of a 59-year-old Modesto driver on drug charges.

Ceres Police Officer Kyle Hatcher was patrolling the area of Whitmore Avenue and 9th Street when he made a traffic stop for multiple vehicle code violations made by Bryan Paul Drobnick in his Cadillac.

Drobnick and his passenger were on searchable probation and a vehicle search turned up approximately one ounce of suspected methamphetamine. Based on statements by Drobnick, Officer Hatcher established probable cause to arrest Drobnick for possession for sale of illegal narcotics. He was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.

DUI ARREST MADE ON 21-YEAR-OLD DRIVER

Isai Haros, 21, of Modesto, was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of driving under the influence on Saturday.

Ceres Police Sergeant Aaron Pinon was patrolling the area of Hatch Road near Highway 99 when he observed Haros commit multiple vehicle code violations in a Chevrolet Tahoe. Sergeant Pinon made an enforcement stop ending in the Home Depot parking lot. The driver appeared to be intoxicated and he was arrested following a DUI investigation. Haros submitted to a breath sample yielding blood alcohol content results of 0.17 percent when the legal limit is 0.08 percent.

PICKUP DRIVER ARRESTED FOR DUI

On Saturday Ceres Police Officer Kyle Hatcher was patrolling the area of Fowler Road and Mitchell Road when he observed Jose Sanchez Valencia, 45, of Ceres commit multiple vehicle code violations in a Ford F-150 pickup. Officer Hatcher made the stop and when he made contact with the driver, it became apparent that he was intoxicated and a DUI investigation was conducted. Valencia performed poorly in the field sobriety tests, which established probable cause for an arrest. He submitted to a breath test yielding results of 0.17 percent BAC and was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
