A 53-year-old Modesto man who was stopped as he rode on a bicycle in south Modesto on Sunday evening faces two charges.

At 9:20 p.m. Officer Dirk Nieuwenhuis stopped Richard Rodriguez, 53, who was riding the bike in the area of Pecos and Mock avenues. Rodriguez was on probation and searchable. The officer located methamphetamine in his pocket and booked him on charges of possession of methamphetamine and probation violation.
