Drunk driver arrested after claiming she was a passenger in crash

A 31-year-old intoxicated Ceres woman pretended to be a passenger after a crash into another vehicle on Monday.

Officers were dispatched at 4:43 p.m. to the crash at Whitmore Avenue and Moffett Road. Suzanne Luna, 31, of Ceres, told police that she was a passenger. As the investigation continued, Officers discovered Luna was actually the driver of the vehicle and that she was appeared to be intoxicated from drinking alcohol.

At the conclusion of the DUI investigation, Luna was arrested and later submitted to a breath test where she nearly blew twice the legal limit. Luna was later transported to the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center and booked for DUI and driving without a license.
