Hugh Mullis II, 54, of Modesto, was arrested for DUI on the morning of Tuesday, March 23 after he remained stopped in the eastbound left turn lane on Hatch Road at Central Avenue.

Dispatchers received a call about a Mitsubishi Endeavor stopped in the lane at 11:13 a.m. Officer Brian Chandler and other officers arrived and found Mullis in the driver seat displaying signs of intoxication. He was arrested for DUI following an investigation. Mullis submitted to a breath test and was found to have three times the legal limit of alcohol in his system.

Mullis was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
