Ceres Police officers were busy over the weekend arresting a number of drivers who shouldn’t have been driving after they’d been drinking.

During a seven-hour period from Friday night into Saturday morning officers made four DUI arrests.

At 8:57 p.m. on Friday, police arrested Jose Ayala, 27, of Turlock in the 2200 block of Louise Avenue. 

At 9:58 p.m. Jose Arroyo, 41, of Hughson was arrested for DUI at Mitchell and Hatch roads. 

On early Saturday at 12:07 a.m. David Jimenez, 19, of Modesto was picked up in the 2500 block of River Road.

At 1:33 a.m. Saturday Maria Garcia, 57, of Modesto was arrested at Fifth Street and El Camino Avenue.
