A 29-year-old Ceres man was arrested after he ignored a patrol officer who was trying to stop him on Hatch Road near Moffet Road on Thursday morning, Nov. 7.

Officer Adam Hall attempted to stop the car at 8:37 a.m. but driver Cadarius Adams, 29, of Ceres, ignored the emergency lights and siren and continued driving. Adams drove to his residence off of Richland Avenue south of Hatch Road. When he got to his residence, Adams stopped and got out of his car.

Adams was arrested for evading an officer and driving without a license. He explained that he didn’t stop because he didn’t want to pay tow fees and thought once he reached his house it would not be towed. In addition to the arrest, his vehicle was towed.
