Man with felony warrant found with knives, drug items

A 67-year-old Ceres man who was the subject of a felony warrant was stopped Friday evening by an officer who searched him and found two large concealed knives and drug paraphernalia.

At 11:39 p.m., Officer Eric Souza was on patrol in the area of Mitchell Road and Whitmore Avenue when he spotted Pablo Martinez, known for being wanted on the warrant. Officer Souza stopped Martinez and during a search located the knives as drug paraphernalia. Martinez was arrested and booked at the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center for the warrant, possession of a concealed dirk or dagger and possession of drug paraphernalia.
