Parolee lied about his identity

A Ceres parolee was arrested early Friday after someone reported his suspicious behavior in front of a business in the 3900 block of Morgan Road.

At 3:14 a.m., Officer Matthew Vierra was flagged down by a citizen pointing out Hector Solis, 51, of Ceres, in front of the closed business. Solis gave Officer Vierra a fictitious name but a records check noted he was wanted by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. He was then arrested and booked for the warrant and for providing false information to a peace officer.

Solis was arrested last November for a prior violation of the conditions of his parole.
