Police detectives are attempting to identify and arrest the persons who shot two men Saturday evening in the 3500 block of Chandra Court southwest of Hackett and Morgan roads.

The victim, described as two Hispanic men aged 20 and 25, were shot in front of a home at approximately 5:57 p.m. Both men were shot in the leg but the 25-year-old was also hit in the upper chest with a shot through a lung. Both were rushed to the hospital where the older victim remains in critical condition.

“We’re following up on some leads,” said Detective Sgt. Danny Vierra.

Investigators believe the two victims were in front of the home when two vehicles drove up and several occupants exited and start a confrontation with the men. After an argument ensued, shots were fired at the two as the suspects got back in the cars and fled the area before police arrived.

The vehicles are described as a 2000’s model black Honda and a smaller box style silver-colored SUV.

Investigators have not confirmed the identity of the suspects and the motive is unclear but Sgt. Vierra suspects the motive was personal.
