A 32-year-old man riding a scooter with an active arrest warrant was stopped early Thursday near Joyce Avenue and Bystrum Road, causing a traffic hazard. During the 3:05 a.m. traffic stop Officer Christian Guerra learned that Jason Lopez, 32, of Modesto had an active warrant for his arrest. Instead of arresting Lopez, the officer issued a citation and gave him a new court date for his warrant and released him.
