Shoplifting results in charge for Coulterville man

Joshua Johnson of Coulterville was arrested Sept. 11 in Ceres.

A 25-year-old Coulterville man was arrested and later released on a written promise to appear in court after he was caught shoplifting at Cost Less Foods on Hatch Road.

The theft occurred at 9:07 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 11.

Officer Krandall Vandagriff was dispatched to the store after loss prevention personnel said they caught Joshua Johnson stealing approximately $500 worth of merchandise from the store.

Johnson admitted to the theft and was released after promising to appear in court.
