Tara Hooper, 44, of Waterford, was arrested for drunken driving during a stop of her car Saturday evening in Ceres.

She was stopped at 10:45 p.m. after someone reported to dispatchers that there was a possible intoxicated driver in the area of Don Pedro Road and Gaza Lane. Officer Samuel Garcia found the Toyota Rav4 in question in the area of Faith Home and Hatch roads.

The officer was immediately picking up signs that Hooper was drunk and arrested her after putting her through field sobriety tests. A sample of her breath revealed that she was double the legal limit for an adult to drive. Hooper was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
