Woman charged in spousal stabbing

A 34-year-old Ceres woman faces charges of inflicting corporal injury to a spouse and assault with a deadly weapon after she allegedly stabbed her husband in the upper arm during a domestic disturbance.

Ceres Police Officer Christian Guerra and others were dispatched to the 2700 block of Roeding Road at 2:34 a.m. on Sunday. The victim was taken by ambulance to an area hospital for treatment of his wound.

After police investigated the stabbing, Yanel Perez, 34, of Ceres was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
