Graduations dominate week

Balloons, flowers, cards, shades and cameras will mix with tears, hugs and cheers this week as the Ceres school year ends in a series of graduation ceremonies.

Friday kicked off the first graduation in Ceres with that of Whitmore Charter High School which graduated a small class at the Central Valley High School gymnasium.

Whitmore Charter Middle School graduated its eighth-graders last night, also at the CVHS gymnasium. Also last night, a joint graduation of Argus and Endeavor high schools and Ceres Adult Education took place inside the Ceres High School athletic stadium.

On Friday evening Hughson High School held its graduation of seniors into the world.

Tonight is Blaker-Kinser Junior High School's turn. The school's class of eighth-graders will graduate into high school at a 6 p.m. ceremony in the Central Valley High School Amphitheatre, 4033 S. Central Ave.

On Thursday evening two graduations will be held. The first is that of Mae Hensley Junior High School eighth-grade graduation at 6 p.m. at the Ceres High School football stadium. Central Valley High School will graduate its seniors during a 7:30 p.m. ceremony at the CVHS Amphitheatre.

Ceres High School holds its graduation at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, June 1 at the CHS stadium.

Spratling Middle School graduated its eighth-graders on Thursday evening at the Keyes school.

Ross Middle School in Hughson graduate its eighth-graders on Thursday inside the Hughson Union High School athletic stadium.
