Last year Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz of the "American Pickers" cable TV show filmed a segment in Oakdale. The popular show is returning to Central California and is scouting for a new location to visit as they search for "rustic gold."

The duo search through junk and vintage items for the History Channel show. Producers for the show would like leads for those who may have items which the famous duo can pick from. They are on the hunt for "characters with interesting and unique items." Some of what they look for are: vintage bicycles and toys, unusual radios, movie memorabilia, advertising signs, military items, folk art, pre-50's western gear, early firefighting equipment, vintage musical equipment, automotive items, and clothing.

Those who may have a large, private collection or have tips on someone who may participate in the show should call (855) OLD-RUST or email americanpickers@cineflix.com. Emails should contain a contact name, phone number, location and description of the collection with photos.

American Pickers debuted in 2010 and is in its tenth season.
