Ceres Library offers fun October events

The Ceres Library has a number of activities for children and their parents this month.

A paper bag monster craft project is offered from 3 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 2.

Lego Days will be offered the remaining Thursdays of the month (Oct. 9, 16, 23 and 30). Lego Day is offered those days starting at 3 p.m.

Preschool story time sessions are on Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m.

A special family Halloween Story Time will be Oct. 27 at 6 p.m. Stories and a craft will be offered and children are encouraged to dress in costumes that are not deemed scary. Kids of all ages are welcome with the program geared for the 4- to 8-year-old set.

There will be two Saturday program for adults in October. An Extreme Couponing class will be 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4. Adults will learn how to use coupons, how to save money or just want to learn tips and strategies for the use of your own coupons. In this session, adults will learn where to find the best coupon deals, where to buy coupons for desired products, the rules to follow when shopping with coupons and how to shop at favorite stores for the best deals.

A Tie Dye Craft is offered 12 noon to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 11. Participants will learn how to tie dye material and should bring a white clothing item to tie dye. Younger children may participate with direct parent supervision. Books will be on display and available for checkout.

The Ceres Library is located at 2250 Magnolia Street, Ceres, and is open Mondays 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Saturdays 12 noon to 5 p.m. For more information call 537-8938.
