Ceres Street Faire Poster Contest winners announced

A poster contest was offered to all students in the Ceres Unified School District's ACES after school program to create interest for the Ceres Street Faire Parade.
The theme of the poster contest mirrored the parade theme of "Back to the Future."

All participants will receive a certificate for participating but those who submitted winning entries will be featured on a trolley during the 10 a.m. Saturday Street Faire Parade; as well as be recognized with awards at the Whitmore Park stage at 2 p.m. on Saturday. The winning entries will also be displayed at Whitmore Park on Saturday.

Winners are as follows:

Kindergartner Division:

• First place - Kana Olide of Virginia Parks Elementary;

• Second place - Jonathan Estrada of Hidahl Elementary;

• Third place - Dalilah of Lucas Elementary;

• Honorable Mention - Victoria of Lucas Elementary.

First through Third Grade Division:

• First place - Kassandra Rodriguez -of Patricia "Kay" Beaver Elementary;

• Second place -Emily Mariani of La Rosa Elementary;

• Third place - Alyssa Santillanes of Whitmore Charter School;

• Honorable mention - Alexandria Williams of Caswell Elementary.

Fourth - Sixth Grade Division:

• First place - Viviana Cordova of Patricia "Kay" Beaver Elementary;

• Second place - Riley Panyanouvong of Virginia Parks Elementary;

• Third place - Jessica Sanchez of La Rosa Elementary;

• Honorable mentions - Aastasia Atnstain and Jose Alvarez, both of La Rosa Elementary.

Seventh - Eighth Grade Division:

• First place - Karla Panigua of Cesar Chavez Middle School;

• Second place - Brianna Garcia of Mae Hensley Junior High School;

• Third place -Jenais Estrada of Mae Hensley Junior High School;

• Honorable mentions - Jessica Pena of Mae Hensley Junior High School and Nico Delgadillo of Cesar Chavez Junior High School.
