David Charles Spadini, 57, died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012 at his home in Tuolumne County.

He was born in Marin County on June 17, 1955 to Lillian Kazimera Spadini and Charles Chiddo Spadini.

Mr. Spadini spent most of his life in Oakdale, and always considered it his home town. He graduated from Oakdale High School in 1973.

After graduation, he worked in various occupations in the Oakdale area, including working at what is now ConAgra, bartending, and cowboy work. He moved to the mountains of Tuolumne County 11 years ago for the peace and solitude. He most recently worked for the Sugar Pine Water Company.

To his friends he was “Spud,” to his siblings “Brother Dave,” and to his niece and nephew “Uncle Brother Dave.” He loved animals and the outdoors. Stewart the cat was his constant companion.

He had a terrific sense of humor and very sharp wit. He was a unique free spirit and to say mischief was his middle name is close to the truth. He lived life his way.

Survivors include his mother, Lillian Cooley; siblings, Linda Spadini (David) Richards, Thomas (Paulette) Spadini, Arthur (Syndie) Spadini; one niece; and one nephew, all of California.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles.
