Holiday fun at library

If you are in the mood for fun seasonal crafts, creating LEGO masterpieces and searching for the Grinch, then a visit to the Ceres Library is in order. Mark your calendar and be sure to be in attendance for all the library has to offer in December.

First on the agenda is a Marshmallow Snowman Craft on Thursday, Dec. 5 at 3:30 p.m. Children will learn how to make fun, winter scenes using marshmallows!

Adults can take a turn showing off their crafting skills when the Ceres Library hosts a Glass Staining Craft program. Participants will be able to create beautiful, stained glass art on Saturday, Dec. 7 at 12 p.m.

The library is giving out small prizes to children who are able to find the Grinch's hiding place in the library from Dec. 9-21. The Grinch moves to a different hiding place each week, so there are plenty of opportunities to explore the library and earn a special reward.

LEGOs take over the library on Thursday, Dec. 12 at 3 p.m. and Thursday Dec. 26 at 3 p.m. Children will get a chance to build LEGO displays for the library! LEGO play helps children develop fine motor skills. This event is designed for ages 4-12. Children under age four may participate, but must have must have direct adult supervision.

The library will offer a Paper Plate Reindeer Craft on Thursday, Dec. 19 at 3:30 p.m. Children will be able to let their creativity take over when they use paper plates and their own handprints to design beautiful reindeer.

The Ceres Library will round out a month of fun with the Xtreme Science Magic Show on Monday, Dec. 30 at 1:30 p.m. Families will have the chance to enjoy a science-related show that will entertain and educate children of all ages.
