Officers from four of the Interact Clubs attended the Ceres Rotary Club meeting of Feb. 7 to share information on their projects.

Interact Club members from Central Valley High School, Cesar Chavez Junior High, Whitmore Charter School of Technology and Whitmore Charter High School attended.

Rotarians were impressed with the dedication to the Rotary motto of "service above self" that the student displayed, and their enthusiasm for helping to make our community and the world a better place. Ceres Rotary sponsors four Interact Clubs in Ceres schools.

The service clubs operate just like a regular Rotary Club, and the students are required to conduct both local and international service projects.

The clubs conduct ‘Purple Pinkie Projects' to help eradicate polio, collect jeans for donation, hold food drives, visit the elderly, participate in the Rotary Read In, and are active in district Interact activities.
