This March, the Ceres Library will host activities and seasonal crafts for all ages, beginning with Wee Move and Play on Wednesdays, March 1 and 15 at 11:30 a.m. and Tuesdays at 11 a.m. This program features unstructured playtime for toddlers and preschoolers, during which they can enjoy movement and sensory play.

A celebration of Dr. Seuss' birthday will take place on Thursday, March 2 at 3:30 p.m. Participants can use provided craft materials to make hats inspired by the Cat in the Hat. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Ceres Library.

The library will host a LEGO Day on Thursday, March 9 at 3:30 p.m. Children will have the opportunity to build LEGO creations that will then be displayed in the library. Participants under the age of 4 must have direct parental supervision.

On Saturdays, March 11 and 25, the library will host a drop-in knitting program designed for beginning knitters, or individuals who would like to improve their knitting skills. Interested parties are encouraged to visit the library's circulation desk to get started. Needles and yarn will be available for beginning knitters.

Children can create unique designs with Perler beads on Thursday, March 23 at 3:30 p.m. When heat is applied, these colorful beads fuse together, preserving each crafter's design. Young children will need adult assistance as the beads are small and can be difficult to manipulate.

On Thursday, March 30 at 3:30 p.m. children are invited to make bird feeders. All materials will be provided, however, please note that peanut butter is one of the ingredients involved in this craft.

The Ceres Library is located at 2250 Magnolia St. in Ceres. For more information about Ceres Library programs, please contact the Ceres Library Branch Supervisor, Anne-Marie Montgomery, at 537-8938.
