Local animal shelter sponsoring free adoptions
SASA pet adoption
The website of the Stanislaus Animal Services Agency (SASA) contains a listing of dogs like Wilson here which are available for adoption for free on Friday, Nov. 17 and Saturday, Nov. 18.

The Stanislaus Animal Services Agency (SASA) invites the community to participate in a special “Empty the Shelter” event, sponsored in loving memory of devoted dog lover Kyle MacDonald. All adoption fees for dogs will be waived during this event, taking place on Friday, Nov. 17 and Saturday, Nov. 18, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.

November presents one of the busiest times of the year for animals coming into the shelter, and SASA is seeking community support to provide a loving home for the many dogs awaiting adoption. The event aims to create a meaningful connection between families and pets while honoring the memory of MacDonald.

All dog adoptions during the event will be free and on a first-come, first-served basis, so prospective adopters are encouraged to arrive early. Each adopted dog will be current on shots, microchipped and spayed/neutered.

Kyle MacDonald’s love for his dogs, Saber and Kaeger, inspired this event, and with nearly 200 beautiful dogs on hand, attendees are sure to find the new love of their lives to adopt.

The SASA shelter is located in Ceres’ city limits at 3647 Cornucopia Way but has a Modesto mailing address.
