New market wins positive review in Keyes

Reaction has been positive to the recent opening of State Food supermarket at 5471 7th Street in Keyes.

The store was opened two months ago by Ahmed Baabad in the former Tower market building. It comes a year after the Dollar General store opened down the street.

"I love this place, close to me, because I can find whatever I need at good price," said a happy Cynthia Fajardo Vela. She said the store sells excellent quality meat and noted it is "always fresh and clean."

Open daily 7 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., State Foods offers Keyes residents a chance to get all their grocery shopping without leaving town.

The Baabad family has a chain of State Food Supermarkets throughout the Valley, including Sanger, Avenal, Chowchilla, Dos Palos, Parlier, Riverdale, Madera, Coalinga, and Woodlake.

Customer friendly services include rides home from shopping.The market is also a convenient pay station for those wanting to pay their PG&E bills.
