Fans of Raising Cane’s restaurants will have to wait until early September to buy chicken finger meals in Ceres.

Construction is taking place on the Ceres eatery at 1331 E. Hatch Road in the former parking lot of Kmart store. The new restaurant will be Raising Cane’s first in Ceres and the second in the Modesto area. The first store is at 3801 Pelandale Avenue near Costco.

The Ceres store will feature an extended dining room concept with plenty of room for customers – the restaurant fondly calls them “Caniacs” – for lunch or a late-night bite.

“We’re thrilled to bring Raising Cane’s to Ceres,” said Area Leader of Restaurants Chris Esteban. “With our commitment to not only provide quality chicken finger meals but also support our communities, we look forward to partnering with local organizations for our debut this fall, and to become a staple in the community beyond opening day.”

In preparation for its grand opening this fall, Raising Cane’s is planning to hire 125 new employees ranging from crew to management-level. Named a “Best Place to Work” by Glassdoor and Forbes, Raising Cane’s is offering Big Bold Crew Benefits, including flexible schedules for all Crewmembers and weekly paychecks. Starting salary for crew begins at $15.50.
