Princess Pe, a senior at Central Valley High School, was recently honored by the Ceres Rotary Club as a "Student of the Month."

Princess was born in Merced and moved to Ceres before the third grade. Her parents both came from the Philippines as registered nurses.

Princess has always had the encouragement and support of her parents to try new things and pursue her interests, even if it means walking her down the football field during homecoming in a Marvel comic-book dress. She is vice president of the class of 2015, president of the PHAST club, vice president of CV Matters, treasurer of Interact, historian of the National Honors Society, and an active member in ‘S' Club, the California Scholarship Federation (CSF), the Ceres Youth Commission, and the varsity tennis team.

In addition, she plans to keep up her straight As, even in her four AP classes, and remain in the top three of her class.

Princess plans on applying to the Universities of California Los Angeles, Davis, and Berkeley, and to Stanford University. She is most keen on attending UCLA. She'd like to major in either chemistry or neuroscience, and go on to medical school to become an oncologist.
