Three arrested in apartment stabbings that left two badly injured

Three persons were arrested in connection to a Tuesday evening, Sept. 1 altercation in the parking lot of the Pine Ridge Apartments that left two men with stab wounds.

Ceres Police dispatchers began receiving 911 calls at approximately 10:45 p.m. about a fight at 1301 Richland Avenue in which two persons were stabbed. Officers found the two men suffering from significant wounds and after initial medical aid was rendered they were rushed by ambulance to local area hospitals.

Officers located several males who appeared to be involved who were detained.

After reviewing surveillance video and interviewing witnesses, Ceres Police detectives arrested Edward Sisneroz, 18, of Modesto and two teenage boys. Their names were not because of a state law protecting the identities of minors.

Sisneroz was booked on charge of assault with great bodily injury at the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.

The two juveniles were also booked into the Stanislaus County Juvenile Detention Center on the same charge.

Police did not disclose the origin of the fight and subsequent stabbings.

Ceres Police Lt. Jeff Godfrey said both victims are in stable condition and recovering from the “violent assault.”
