The sounds of saws and hammers are in the air on Whitmore Avenue behind a commercial strip mall as CEC Homes is constructing Tuscany Village, a 40-home private community.

Tuscany Village was first approved in 2006 with the commercial strip which includes Liquor Locker, Vanity Hair Studio, Glaze Donuts, KLC Nails & Spa, Bargain Outlet, Metro by TMobile and La Casa Del Clamato. The commercial center was promptly constructed but two years later the mortgage crisis of 2008 impacted the housing market in serious ways. The project is one of the first to occur in Ceres following the COVID pandemic of 2020 and 2021.

Homes range in price from $445,000 to $474,000.

The project, located on the south of Whitmore Avenue between Rockefeller and Fairview Drives, will feature a community pool and clubhouse.

Besides the Ceres project, CEC Homes of Rocklin currently has three projects in Rocklin, one in Citrus Heights and one in Sacramento.
