The Ceres School Board approved employment contracts for Denise Wickham, Debra Bukko, Jay Simmonds, Glenda Bacca, Amy Peterman and Linda Stubbs with a unanimous vote.

“We’re very selective about who we hire and keep,” CUSD Supt. Scott Siegel said. “We expect nothing but the best. I’d put our team up against anybody’s team.”

Wickham will be promoted from assistant to deputy superintendent of Personnel Services for Ceres Unified in 2013-14.
She’ll earn an annual salary of $160,086.

Denise has been employed by CUSD since 2006-07.

She was assistant superintendent for five years.

Wickham was the district’s supervisor of Projects and Assessment for one year and director of Curriculum and Instruction for two years.

She was named ACSA’s Region 7 Central Office Administrator of the Year in 2011.
Bukko (assistant superintendent of Educational Services) and Jay Simmonds (assistant superintendent of Student Support Services) will both have a base salary of $152,082.

Debra, director of Curriculum and Instruction for the past two years, will replace Mary Jones. Jones decided to retire following an 18-year career with CUSD.

Mary was assistant superintendent of Educational Services from 2002-10. She also filled leadership roles at Ceres High (interim principal), Caswell Elementary (principal) and Mae Hensley Jr. High (assistant principal).
Jones was named ACSA’s 2008 Curriculum and Instruction Administrator of the Year.

Glenda Bacca (director of Special Education), Amy Peterman (principal of Central Valley High School) and Linda Stubbs (principal of Ceres High School) will make $120,054, $121,209 and $118,900, respectively.
