Services to be held Friday at Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel for Alvie Anderson Morgan, 92, of Winnemucca, Nev. The former Hughson resident died Oct. 22, 2007 at her home.

Burial was at Lakewood Memorial Park under the direction of Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel.

Born Aug. 8, 1915, Mrs. Morgan was a native of Yell County, Ark., to Amos and Marth Walker. She was a resident of Empire and Hughson for many years. She was a member of the Ceres Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, quilting, fishing, taking care of her family and serving the Lord.

She leaves behind four children, Nina Yarbrough of Visaila, Ina Collins of Turlock, Bonnie Lawrence of Sargent, Texas, and Randy Anderson of Winnemucca; two step-children, Ladean Hilgenburg of Oakdale, and step-son, Don Morgan of Modesto; her sister, Eulla Grace of Russelville, Ark.; and 10 grandchildren, Pamela Andres of Abbotsford, B.C., Daniel Yarbrough of Cypress, Sheila Patterson of Henryetta, Okla., Diana Collins of Schulter, Okla., Steven Collins of Turlock, Debra VanPelt of Port Arthur, Texas, Tina Magana of Modesto, Sandra Horton of Brazoria, Texas, Cheryl Shaw of Drain, Ore., and Ginny Hawkins of Winnemucca, Nev.; and 24 great-grandchildren and 25 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Rev. Julian Anderson; and husband of eight years, Alton Morgan; four siblings Alton, Allen, Opel, Jack and Inice; and great-grandson, Jeremy Holland and step-son Wayne Morgan.
