A funeral service was held Monday at Lakewood Funeral Home for Andrew D. Shewbart, 68, of Ceres. He died suddenly on Aug. 23, 2011 at his home.
Burial was at Lakewood Memorial Park.
Born Aug. 20, 1943 to Andrew and Rachel Shewbart, Andy was part of his high school baseball and basketball teams. In the 1960s and early 1970s, Mr. Shewbart owned and operated Andy's Barber Shop on Fourth Street in Ceres. He enjoyed horseback riding and team roping.
He leaves behind his two sisters, Pat Birdwell, of Merkle, Texas, and Mavis Ledbetter, of Ceres; and 8 nieces and nephews, 13 great nieces and nephews, and 13 great-great nieces and nephews.
