Artemio Leon Garcia “Tim,” passed away unexpectedly at his home in Taylorsville, Utah on Sept. 22, 2022.

Tim was born on Sept. 22, 1986, to Artemio de Leon Garcia and Viola Kathleen Patterson in Modesto.

He graduated high school in Ceres in 2004. He was an Eagle Scout.

Tim was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Ceres First Ward when he was called to serve a mission in the Utah, Salt Lake City Mission.

Some of his hobbies were reading, writing novels, and gaming. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family.

He is survived by his mother, Kathy Garcia of Taylorsville, Utah; two sisters, Amparo Mullen of Millereek, Utah, and  Kaleen Manookin (Scott) of Farmington, Utah; two brothers, Daniel Garcia and Tyler Garcia, both of Taylorsville, Utah; one nephew, three nieces and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Artemio Campo Garcia, Amparo de Leon Libao, William Patterson and Mavis Madeline Holland; and his father Artemio de Leon Garcia.

There will be a viewing held on Saturday, Oct. 8 at 10:00 a.m., followed by funeral service at 11:30 a.m., both at the Brookshire Ward Chapel, 1327 W. 5550 S, Taylorsville, Utah. Interment will follow at the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
